TRINGALE ENJOYING OPPORTUNITY IN LIV GOLF SERIES

Cameron Tringale, a professional golfer, recently shared his experience playing alongside Phil Mickelson at the Liv Golf Invitational tournament in Singapore.

The Liv Golf Invitational is a new men’s golf tour that features some of the biggest names in golf. The tournament has already attracted a lot of attention, with Brooks Koepka, Sergio Garcia, and Cameron Smith, among others, all participating.

Tringale has been enjoying his time in Singapore, and he had some kind words for his team captain, Phil Mickelson.

Tringale is not the only one who has had a positive experience playing with Mickelson. The latter is known for his friendly personality and his ability to keep things light on the course. Many golfers have spoken about how much they enjoy playing with Mickelson and how much they learn from him.

TRINGALE HAVING SOLID 2023 SEASON

One week after tying for third place at Adelaide in his best career finish in the LIV Golf Series, Cameron Tringale turned in a tie for 11th place with a 10-under-par score of 203 in last weekend’s event in Singapore.

The Georgia Tech All-American, who made more than $17 million in career earnings on the PGA Tour, has accumulated more than $2.9 million in nine career LIV Golf events, including $1,828,400 in 2023. In five 2023 events, Tringale has finished 20th, 13th, 11th, 3rd and 11th.

WERENSKI PLAYS THE WEEKEND IN MEXICO

Only two Yellow Jackets made the trip to Mexico last weekend for the Mexico Open at Vidanta, and Richy Werenski survived to the weekend to post a tie for 46th place at 6-under-par 278, while Paul Haley II missed the cut.

It was Werenski’s first made cut since the Valspar Championship in mid-March, where he tied for 27th. He sits No. 154 on the FedEx Cup points list. Haley is No. 146.

Werenski returns to action this week in one of the PGA Tour’s designated events, the Wells Fargo Classic, where he’ll be joined by Stewart Cink. Chesson Hadley and Matt Kuchar.

PETEFISH HAS SOLID FINISH ON KORN FERRY TOUR

Chris Petefish tied for 27th place in last week’s Korn Ferry Tour event, the HomeTown Lender Championship in Huntsville, Ala. Petefish posted a 5-under-par score of 205 in the event that was shortened to 54 holes due to weather, and currently sits 77th on the tour’s points list.

Luke Schniederjans, who entered the field via Monday qualifying, missed the cut after shooting 71-72.

The tour is idle for the next two weeks and resumes May 18-21 in Kansas City.

DICKSON TURNS IN RUNNER-UP FINISH ON GPRO TOUR

Will Dickson turned in a runner-up finish in the most recent GPro Tour event in Huntsville, Ala., firing an 8-under-par 63 in the final round to tie for second place with others, three shots out of the lead. Dickson posted an 18-under-par total of 195.

After winning the GPro Tour’s championship event in 2022 and finishing atop the points list, Dickson moved up to 14th on the points list in 2023 after missing the cut in two events.

Ben Smith and Tyler Strafaci both missed the cut in the Huntsville event and are in the field for this week’s tournament in Thomson, Ga.
