THE FLATS – David Duval is teaming up with John Daly, one of two teams of players from the Champions Tour, to compete at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans … Matt Kuchar has another solid finish at RBC Heritage, Andy Ogletree likewise on the Asian Tour … More details below in this week’s Georgia Tech #ProJackets Report.

DUVAL TEAMING WITH DALY FOR ZURICH CLASSIC OF NEW ORLEANS
From the Florida Times-Union
John Daly, playing a golf tournament in New Orleans?
Maybe his partner will keep him on the straight and narrow, at least as far as fairways go.
The PGA Tour’s Zurich Classic will be played next week at the TPC Louisiana in Avondale, La., about 15 miles away and across the Mississippi River from Bourbon Street. Eighty two-man teams will compete in the Tour’s only team stroke-play event.
This year’s event is yielding some of the most interesting partnerships since the tournament went to that format in 2017, including Daly playing with Jacksonville native David Duval, one of two teams to include PGA Tour Champions players.
Daly won two major championships, the 1991 PGA and the 1995 British Open. Duval won the 2001 British Open and the 1999 Players to highlight his 13 PGA Tour titles.
What most of the players in the Zurich field might not know – especially those in the current generation of PGA Tour players – is Duval and Daly occasionally played money games together when they were in their prime on the Tour and did quite well.
Chesson Hadley, Paul Haley II and Richy Werenski are also entered for the team event.
John Daly and David Duval are teaming up @Zurich_Classic. I love it, I love it, I love it.

KUCHAR ONLY WEEKEND SURVIVOR AT RBC HERITAGE
Matt Kuchar was the only former Yellow Jacket to make the weekend at the RBC Heritage last weekend, tying for 19th and continuing a solid season on the PGA Tour. The 2014 winner of this event posted a 10-under-par total of 274 to maintain his position at No. 40 on the FedEx Cup points list.
Stewart Cink, a three -time winner at Harbour Town Golf Links, missed the cut by one stroke, while Hadley and Werenski also missed out on the weekend/

REEVES PLAYS WEEKEND ON KORN FERRY TOUR
Former Yellow Jacket Seth Reeves fired an opening 65 and has a top-10 position following another 65 in round 3 at the Veritex Bank Championship last weekend, but the lefthander followed those low rounds with a 72 in round 2 and a 74 in round 3 and tied for 46th at the Texas Rangers Golf Club in Arlington, Texas.
Reeves maintained his position at No. 121 in Korn Ferry Tour points, having made the cut just twice in eight events this yeae. Chris Petefish and Paul Haley II, playing the event because he wasn’t in the field for the RBC Heritage, missed the cut.
Petefish and Reeves are back in action this weekend in Lakewood Ranch, Fla., for the LECOM Suncoast Classic.

OGLETREE HAS ANOTHER SOLID INTERNATIONAL FINISH
Andy Ogletree continues to flourish overseas, tying for 16th place last weekend in the Asian Tour’s International Series event in Vietnam. The 2019 U.S. Amateur champion shot rounds of 70-68-70-67 to post a 13-under-par total of 275 and maintained his position atop the tour’s Order of Merit, having banked more than $630,000 USD.
The next International Series event is not until August in the United Kingdom.
