THE FLATS – Seth Reeves posts top-5 finish in Maine on the Korn Ferry Tour … Stewart Cink is the last Jacket standing at the Travelers Championship … Luke Schniederjans just shy of victory in first Forme Tour start … More below in this week’s Georgia Tech #ProJackets Report.

CINK LAST JACKET STANDING AT TRAVELERS
Five Yellow Jackets were in the field for last weekend’s Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Conn., but only Stewart Cink, who has twice won the event, was around to play the weekend. Only a Saturday 74 kept Cink from contending for his third title in the event, having shot 68-67 in the opening two rounds before closing with a 66 Sunday to tie for 30th place. Cink held his position at No. 14 in FedEx Cup points.
Chesson Hadley, Cameron Tringale, Richy Werenski and Vincent Whaley all missed the cut, but are back in action this week as the PGA Tour moves to Detroit, Mich., for the Rocket Mortgage Classic.

REAGAN CINK ENJOYING FINAL WEEKS AT FATHER STEWART’S CADDIE
In a little more than a month, Reagan Cink will be a married man. It’s a life-changing experience for a 24 year old. In a little more than two months, Cink will likely begin a different career path.
For the better part of the last year, Reagan Cink has caddied on the PGA Tour for his dad, Stewart. They have shared two victories together — the RBC Heritage in April and the Safeway Open last September. Stewart Cink has had a resurgence in his late 40s.

REEVES POSTS TOP-5 FINISH ON KORN FERRY TOUR
Seth Reeves posted rounds of 66-66 on the weekend and made a bid for his second win of the 2020-21 wrap-around season on the Korn Ferry Tour, but came up shy by two strokes at the Live and Work in Main Open. The 2014 Tech graduate, who won the Pinnacle Bank Championship last summer and has a handful of top-10 finishes, posted a 14-under-par total of 270 and held his position at No. 17 on the Korn Ferry Tour points list.
Anders Albertson, Paul Haley II and Nicholas Thompson also played well over the weekend, tying for 20th, 25th and 30th, respectively. Haley held his spot at No. 23 in Korn Ferry Tour points, and is bidding to join Reeves in earning a PGA Tour card as the tour comes down to its final five regular-season events.
J.T. Griffin and Ollie Schniederjans, who is No. 32 in points, missed the cut.
The Korn Ferry Tour takes this week off before moving cross country next week for the TPC Colorado Classic at Heron Lakes in suburban Denver.

LUKE SCHNIEDERJANS DAZZLES IN FIRST FORME TOUR START
Having earned a chance to play a regular schedule in qualifying for the Forme Tour, Luke Schniederjans was in contention the entire weekend on the tour’s opening event, the L&J Golf Championship at Jennings Mill last weekend in Watkinsville, Ga.
The 2020 Tech graduate finished third, one stroke out a playoff for the title, with a 15-under-par total of 273. Meanwhile, Chris Petefish who has held partial status for a couple of years, tied for 15th place at 9-under-par 279. Tyler Strafaci missed the cut.
Schniederjans and Petefish are both in the field for the tour’s second event this weekend at the Auburn University Club. The Forme Tour is the United States’ based 2021 replacement for the MacKenzie (Canadian) Tour, which is on hiatus due to the coronavirus.

FIVE JACKETS QUALIFIED FOR OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP
Former champions Stewart Cink (2009) and David Duval (2001) are in the field for the 2021 Open Championship at Royal St. George’s along with Matt Kuchar, who qualified by advancing to the 2020 Tour Championship. Andy Ogletree and Tyler Strafaci, as winners of the past two U.S. Amateur championships, both qualified, although Ogletree will be unable to compete while recovering from recent hip surgery.

MOLDER TELLS STORY OF HOW KUCHAR WENT FROM PRANSKTER TO PRANKEE
The Matt Kuchar you know and the Matt Kuchar Bryce Molder knows are two very different people. You know Kuchar as the perennial PGA Tour winner and the beloved owner of golf’s finest Dad energy. Molder knows him as the goofy college student at Georgia Tech, where Kuchar’s original star was born as one of the country’s finest young … pranksters.

Top 3 finish on the @KornFerryTour for my student Seth Reeves today. One step closer to locking down his @PGATOUR card after 2 long seasons. Projected up to 18th on the money list. Happy to see some consistency in his game with the changes we made. Let’s go! pic.twitter.com/U5P1d8eCMq
