Georgia Tech #ProJackets Baseball Report

THE FLATS – Buck Farmer remains perfect as his Detroit Tigers clinched the series against the Yankees, while Charlie Blackmon has six hits early on for the Colorado Rockies in this week’s Georgia Tech baseball #ProJackets Report.

Farmer’s Tigers are second in the AL Central through the early goings, above .500 at 4-3 behind only Minnesota. Through two relief appearances, Farmer has worked 2.0 shutout innings with two strikeouts and a WHIP of 0.500.

After being held hitless on Opening Day, Blackmon went on to have six hits over the next three games against the Marlins, highlighted by a 3-for-5, two RBI outing on March 29 in the 6-1 win. The Rockies have struggled some out of the game, having dropped four-straight now.

Twelve #ProJackets will begin their season soon in the minor leagues with full-length leagues’ Opening Day on Thursday, April 4. Last year’s No. 2 overall pick Joey Bart looks to kick off his season on April 4 with the San Jose Giants (Class A Advanced) at Visalia. Bart is expected to catch most days and bat in the middle of the Giants lineup.

Below is a complete list of Tech #ProJackets playing professionally this season.
