Made 23 appearances with one start as a freshman and finished the year with a 2-0 record… He finished the season with a 6.94 ERA in 23.1 innings… Seven of the lefty[apos]s final 12 appearances of the season were scoreless outings… Recorded his first career win in a 16-9 victory over Mercer on March 5… His other victory came versus the The Citadel on March 26 after tossing 1.2 scoreless innings of relief… Made his first career start at Georgia Southern on Feb. 27… Worked 1.2 scoreless, hitless innings of relief to hold the lead in Tech[apos]s 11-2 victory over Rutgers on March 2… Appeared twice in the Virginia Tech series, including 2.0 innings of scoreless relief with three strikeouts in the series-opening 11-1 win… Worked a career-long 2.2 innings and matched his career-high with three strikeouts versus Wake Forest on March 30.

A three-year baseball letterwinner and four-year football letterwinner at Buford (Ga.)
