Virginia is the highest ranked team to play at McCamish Pavilion, in its sixth season as Georgia Tech’s home arena, and the Cavaliers are the highest ranked team Tech has hosted since top-ranked North Carolina came to Alexander Memorial Coliseum on Jan. 16, 2008. The Yellow Jackets are 9-2 against ACC teams in head coach Josh Pastner‘s tenure, and have a 5-1 record against top-25 teams in its home building.
“”We’re thrilled that McCamish Pavilion will be full for these two games,” said head coach Josh Pastner. “Our fans, and our students especially, give us a tremendous homecourt advantage, and we thank them for coming out.”
Tech heads into Thursday night’s game on a four-game winning streak, which matches the longest under Pastner, and is off to a 3-1 start in the ACC (tied for third place) for the first time since the 2003-04 season.
Single-game tickets are still available for the rest Tech’s remaining home games, each game featuring a popular promotion.
