Wrotto Selected for Senior Bowl

Jan. 9, 2007

Georgia Tech offensive tackle Mansfield Wrotto has been selected to play in the 2007 Senior Bowl all-star game, scheduled for Jan. 27 in Mobile, Ala.

The 58th annual Under Armor Senior Bowl will kick off at 3 p.m CT at Ladd-Peebles Stadium and will be televised by the NFL Network.

Wrotto, a 6-3, 310-pounder from Snellville, Ga., played just one year on offense after starting his first three seasons at defensive tackle.

Starting at right tackle this fall, he helped the Yellow Jackets rank second in the ACC in rushing and blocked for the league’s leading rusher, Tashard Choice, who gained nearly 1,500 yards.

Wrotto helped the Yellow Jackets to bowl games all four years, including a 9-5 record and the ACC Coastal Division title in 2006.
