WREK To Host Baseball Preview Show

ATLANTA – The flagship station of Georgia Tech baseball, will hold a special edition of its popular sports talk show, “The Ramblin’ WREK Report,” this Wednesday, February 16th, at 6 p.m., just two days before the Jackets open their 2011 season against Kent State at Russ Chandler Stadium.

The live one-hour special will preview the upcoming baseball season. Fans can listen at 91.1 FM in the Atlanta area or stream live online at www.WREK.org.

The special will feature interviews with head coach Danny Hall, entering his 18th season at the helm, as well as junior pitcher Mark Pope and sophomore outfielder Brandon Thomas. The show will be hosted by Kyle Tait, in his fourth season as play-by-play announcer for the team, along with Nolan Alexander, entering his first in the broadcast booth. The hosts welcome any questions from fans to be emailed to sports@wrek.org or tweeted to @WREKsports before the show.

Georgia Tech enters the 2011 season ranked #19 in the preseason poll as released by Collegiate Baseball. The Jackets open the season with a three-game series against Kent State at Russ Chandler Stadium beginning Friday, Feb. 18, at 4 p.m.
