ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech women’s tennis team will head to North Carolina for the UNC-Kitty Harrison Invitational this weekend. Play will begin Friday morning with matches being held at the Cone-Kanfield Tennis Center at North Carolina, and at the Ambler Tennis Stadium and Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center at Duke.

“This tournament presents a format which our team really enjoys and we are guaranteed a lot of great matches throughout the weekend,” head coach Bryan Shelton said. “Our team will compete extremely hard this weekend and we want to gather some momentum as this will be our last tournament of the fall.”

Along with Tech, teams competing at the invitational will be host North Carolina, Duke, Maryland, Minnesota, Pepperdine, Princeton, Texas A&M, UNC-Greensboro, Vanderbilt, Virginia and William & Mary.

Juniors Christina Ngo and Caroline Lilley will enter the weekend with a little momentum from the ITA Southeast Regional held two weeks ago in Athens, Ga.
