Women's 4x100m Relay Team Qualifies for Finals at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The women’s 4×100-meter relay team of Shantia Moss, Ashlee Kidd, Andriane Lapsley and Jacqua Williams finished sixth in the preliminaries with a NCAA Region qualifying time of 45.32 to lead the Georgia Tech men’s and women’s track and field teams at the Penn Relays on Thursday at historic Franklin Field.

The 4x100m relay team will compete in the championship finals race on Friday at 1 p.m. ET.

Sophomore Elena Linn clocked a personal-record time of 17:06.08 in the women’s 5,000 meters to finish in 22nd place for the Yellow Jackets.

Sophomore Nisha Kurian posted a time of 17:06.87 in the Olympic Development women’s 5,000m race to finish eighth for the Jackets.

The meet will continue on Friday and can be followed on line at Live Results.
