- the entire team attending the Detroit Lions’ home game versus the Minnesota Vikings at Ford Field, the site of Wednesday’s Quick Lane Bowl. During the contest, head coach Paul Johnson was recognized during an on-field ceremony and quarterback TaQuon Marshall defeated Minnesota’s Seth McGreen in a halftime “Fowling” matchup (a game unique to the Detroit area that combines football with bowling);

- the Yellow Jackets and Golden Gophers meeting up at a local Fowling venue for a full-team showdown. Unlike the halftime duel, where a Jacket prevailed in front of a crowd of 65,000 people, Minnesota managed to come out on top in sudden death in the lower-stakes warehouse battle.
