Rockdale County honors GT head coach with Geoff Collins Appreciation Day
CONYERS, Ga. — Georgia Tech football head coach Geoff Collins was honored in his hometown of Conyers, Ga. on Tuesday.
Rockdale County, the city of Conyers and the Rockdale County Board of Education all honored its native son during the county’s Board of Commissioners meeting. The highlight of the ceremony came when the county proclaimed Feb. 19, 2019 to be “Geoff Collins Appreciation Day.” Collins was also presented gifts, including a commemorative football by the county, a key to the city and a framed photo of Rockdale County High School’s football stadium by the board of education.
