Trio Earns 2018 Naismith High School All-American Honors

2018 Signing Class Announcement

ATLANTA, Ga. – Three members of Georgia Tech’s 7th-ranked 2018 recruiting class earned Naismith Trophy National High School All-American Team accolades as announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club. Elizabeth Balogun garnered second team distinction, while Jasmine Carson and Elizabeth Dixon were tabbed honorable mention.

Earlier this season, Balogun and Dixon were amongst the 24 premier high school players named to the 2018 McDonald’s All-American Games official rosters. The two will compete for the Girls West All-American squad on March 28 in Phillips Arena in Atlanta.

Additionally, the future Jackets were tabbed to the Naismith Trophy Midseason Girls Basketball Watch List by the Atlanta Tipoff Club.

Georgia Tech is one of two programs nationally and the only ACC program to have three members of its 2018 recruiting class recognized on Naismith High School All-American teams. Notre Dame placed two signees and Florida State and Virginia Tech each had one representative.
