THE FLATS – Georgia Tech track and field opens the 2017 outdoor track and field season at home when it hosts the Yellow Jacket Invitational on Friday, March 17 at the George C. Griffin Track.
Competition kicks off at 9 a.m. with the hammer throw. Running events are slated to start at 2 p.m. Parking is available free of charge in the Family Housing lot, located off of 10th Street. Admission to the meet is free.
The meet marks the first of three competitions at the Griffin Track for the Yellow Jackets during the outdoor season. The Jackets host the Georgia Tech Invitational in April before serving as the host site for the 2017 ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in May.
The field on Friday will include ACC competitors from Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and Louisville.
