ATLANTA – Preliminary round tickets to the 2012 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship will go on sale Saturday, October 15 at 10 a.m. Atlanta basketball fans will have the opportunity to buy the best available tickets at the Georgia Dome for the regional games taking place March 23 and 25, 2012.

“Atlanta basketball lovers can show their undying support for the NCAA Men’s Final Four(r) by filling up the Georgia Dome for the regional tournament in 2012. We are encouraging local businesses, families and students to buy tickets and cheer for their favorite college teams as part of the road to the 2013 NCAA Men’s Final Four(r) in Atlanta, and the 75th anniversary of the basketball tournament,” said John Yates – chair, Atlanta Basketball Host Committee.
Tickets are available by visiting www.NCAA.com/mbbtickets. The 2012 tournament begins with the First Four(r), played Tuesday and Wednesday, March 13 and 14 in Dayton, Ohio. Second- and third-round sites include:
* Albuquerque, N.M., Louisville, Ky., Pittsburgh and Portland, Ore., which will host games Thursday and Saturday, March 15 and 17. * Columbus, Ohio, Greensboro, N.C., Nashville, Tenn., and Omaha, Neb., which will host games Friday and Sunday, March 16 and 18.
Regional action takes place in Boston and Phoenix Thursday and Saturday, March 22 and 24, and in Atlanta and St. Louis Friday and Sunday, March 23 and 25. The Men’s Final Four will take place at the Superdome in New Orleans, marking the first time the city has hosted the tournament since Hurricane Katrina.
