)held Austin Peay to five hits and one earned run over nine innings while striking out nine batters as Georgia Tech remained alive in the NCAA Atlanta Regional by defeating the Governors, 12-2, in an elimination game. Farmer improved to 11-3 with the complete game victory.

TRACK AND FIELD
Three Georgia Tech track and field athletes will compete in the NCAA Championships from Wednesday, June 8 to Saturday, June 11 on the campus of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Seniors Leslie Njoku and Joanna Wright and freshman Julienne McKee have all earned the right to compete at the national championship. This will be the first appearance at the outdoor national championship for Njoku and McKee and Wright’s second trip. Njoku will begin competition on Wednesday night in the 400 meter hurdles while both McKee (triple jump) and Wright (pole vault) will compete on Saturday.
