ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men and women’s track and field teams continue their seasons Saturday at the MTSU Invitational held at Middle Tennessee State’s Murphy Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Joining the Yellow Jackets at this meet will be host Blue Raiders, as well as Louisville and Wallace State.

Competition is slated to begin at 10 a.m. with the weight throw and will continue until 4:40 p.m. The meet will conclude with the mile relay.

Headlining the meet for Tech’s men will be juniors Bryan Swarn and Sharif Azim, who rank second and third in the Atlantic Coast Conference in the 400 meters. Junior Chris Crawley, who ranks second in the conference in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump, as well as the freshmen shot put duo Zeb Sion and Jonathan Spillman, who rank third and fourth, respectively, will also compete.

For the women, high jumper Jennifer Ledbetter, who ranks second in the league, will compete, as will senior Angela Levens, who has already met the NCAA provisional mark in the weight throw. Sophomore Amandi Rhett, who stands fourth in the ACC in the 60 meters, and senior Tosan Osaigbovo, who is currently fourth in the 60-meter hurdles, are also slated to compete.

Following this weekend’s action, Tech will make its third trip of the indoor season to Lexington, Ky., for the Wildcat Classic on Feb. 2. The Jackets are continuing to build for the ACC Indoor Championships in Chapel Hill, N.C., on Feb. 15-16.
