Presented by Georgia Power, Andy Demetra catches up with sophomore golfer Adam Bratton, preparing to play in his first U.S. Amateur next week in Oakmont, Pa. Bratton earned his place in the 312-player field by winning a playoff for the third and final spot at the qualifier at Chesterton, Ind. He made eagle on the first extra hole. The Newburgh, Ind., native talks about the moment and how he landed at Georgia Tech to play college golf.
The last two U.S. Amateur champions have come from Georgia Tech – Andy Ogletree in 2019 and Tyler Strafaci in 2020.
