THE FLATS – Georgia Tech men’s tennis will start its 2023 spring schedule by hosting Furman on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 12 p.m.
Tech is coming off a competitive fall schedule. The Jackets started the season with the Commodore Invite before participating in two of the ITA Championships.
At the ITA All-American Championships, Andres Martin advanced to the second round of singles play after falling in the first match of doubles. Keshav Chopra was the top performer for Tech at the ITA Southeast Regionals. He earned wins in the first two rounds of the main draw singles. Chopra and Robert Bauer advanced to the third round of the doubles.
Tech concluded the fall by hosting the Georgia Tech Fall Invite where Martin was crowned the singles champion after going 3-0 in the round robin tournament.
Saturday’s competition versus Furman is Tech’s first dual match of the season. The teams will start with doubles play and move on to singles competition after a brief intermission.
