MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Georgia Tech golf team dropped its first round match at the Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championship and was trailing in its consolation round match when play was suspended on Friday due to darkness. The 11th-seeded Yellow Jackets opened the day against sixth seeded TCU and dropped a 3.5-1.5 decision in the morning match. Freshman Thomas Jordan was Tech’s lone winner of the day, as he downed the Horned Frogs’ David Schultz by a score of 1-up.
