Tech Football Unveils New Uniforms

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech football unveiled its second generation of adidas game uniforms on Monday. The uniform set features three jerseys (white, Tech gold and navy) and three pants (white, Tech gold and navy) to go along with Georgia Tech’s traditional gold and white helmets, giving the Yellow Jackets a wide array of potential uniform combinations.

All three jerseys and pants feature a traditional look, with two stripes on the arm sleeves and tri-color piping on the sides of the pants. The Tech gold in the numerals on the white jerseys and the piping on each set of pants comes in the color’s metallic version, to mimic the Jackets’ gold helmets and, of course, inspired by the paint of the Ramblin’ Wreck.

The state-of-the-art adidas’ Primeknit A1 jerseys are constructed with recycled materials.

Design for the new uniforms began near two years ago and was done in collaboration between adidas, Georgia Tech athletics and football head coach Geoff Collins. It marks the Yellow Jackets’ first full football uniform redesign since Tech entered its partnership with adidas in 2018. adidas and Georgia Tech have also collaborated on a pair of alternate uniform designs in recent years. In 2019, adidas and Tech partnered with Children’s Health Care of Atlanta on grey “superhero” uniforms that honored Children’s annual Cape Day in Atlanta. In 2020, adidas and the Yellow Jackets unveiled a throwback uniform that honors Georgia Tech’s famed Black Watch defenses of the 1980s.

The Yellow Jackets will debut their new uniforms on Monday, Sept. 5 (Labor Day), when they open the 2022 season by hosting longtime Atlantic Coast Conference rival Clemson in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Kickoff for Tech’s second-annual “Mayhem at Mercedes-Benz Stadium” game is set for 8 p.m. and the contest will be televised nationally on ESPN. 2022 GEORGIA TECH FOOTBALL SEASON TICKETS

With less than 50 days to go before Georgia Tech football’s highly anticipated season opener versus Clemson at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, 2022 season tickets are on sale now. The Yellow Jackets’ attractive 2022 home slate includes the Jackets’ Sept. 5 opener versus Clemson in the second edition of Tech’s “Mayhem at Mercedes-Benz Stadium” series, as well as showdowns with Ole Miss (Sept. 17), Virginia (Oct. 20) and Miami (Nov. 12) at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Season tickets, which include all six games on the Jackets’ home schedule and exclusive perks such as exclusive concessions and merchandise discounts at Bobby Dodd Stadium, priority access to parking and tickets for away games and discounts on admission to the College Football Hall of Fame and Illuminarium Atlanta, begin at just $299.

Three-game mini-season packs are also available, giving fans the opportunity to choose tickets for three of the Yellow Jackets’ six home games in 2022, beginning at just $175.
