Tech Falls to No. 25 Mississippi State

ATLANTA (Dec. 9) – Sophomore Jennifer Fambrough scored 20 points and junior Cynthia Hall added 18 to lead four Mississippi State players scored in double figures as the 25th-ranked Lady Bulldogs downed Georgia Tech, 71-56, Thursday night at Alexander Memorial Coliseum at McDonald’s Center.

The Lady Bulldogs (7-0) used a 21-4 run over the last 5:48 of the first half to sieze control of the contest. Tech (5-2) led by nine at 26-17 before Mississippi State went on the run to take a 38-30 lead at the half.

Sophomore Milli Martinez led the Jackets with 12 points and nine rebounds, and freshman Amy Lingenfelder came off the Tech bench to add 10 points.

Mississippi State built a 17-point lead with 11:21 to play before Tech cut the lead to eight with a 9-0 run. The Lady Bulldogs answered with a 7-0 spurt to go back up by double digits.
