FORT COLLINS, Co. – Georgia Tech volleyball (17-14, 6-12 ACC) is headed to the postseason for the first time since 2009, competing in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) as announced by the NIVC selection committee on Sunday night. The Yellow Jackets are set to host the first and second rounds of the tournament at O’Keefe Gymnasium.
The tournament is a single-elimination event with all games played at sites of host schools. The first round kicks off on Thursday, Nov. 28 and culminates with the championship match on Tuesday, Dec. 11. The 2018 season is the second of the current NIVC incarnation after a 21-year hiatus.
Tech will host College of Charleston, St. John’s and USF in the first round on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and the second round match at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30. The White and Gold will face off against USF in the 7 p.m. slot on Thursday. The full tournament field is available here.
Tickets will be available for purchase on ramblinwreck.com at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26. Parking for the tournament will be in the East O’Keefe lot, McCamish lot and Family Housing deck.
