THE FLATS – Kyler Glover and Jon Blake have joined Georgia Tech’s football staff as director of on-campus recruiting and assistant director of football operations, head coach Geoff Collins announced on Friday.
“I’m happy to welcome Kyler and Jon to the Georgia Tech football family,” Collins said. “They are both very talented and hard-working, and bring a wealth of experience gained during their young careers to our program. We’re fortunate to have them on our staff and I’m looking forward to the contributions that they will make to Georgia Tech football.”
Glover comes to Tech after serving in the same role at Tennessee during the 2021 season, facilitating official visits and managing communication between coaches and prospective student-athletes. Prior to her one season with the Vols, she spent two years (2019-21) as a recruiting and operations specialist at her alma mater, South Carolina.
Glover graduated from South Carolina in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in sports and entertainment management. As a student, she was an intern in South Carolina athletics’ marketing office. After graduating from South Carolina, she briefly served as a postgraduate athletics marketing and development intern at Charleston Southern before returning to her alma mater as a full-time member of the football staff in August 2019. In addition to her internships at South Carolina and Charleston Southern, she also served as a summer football operations intern for the Cam Newton Foundation in Atlanta during the summer of 2018.
Blake comes to The Flats after serving as assistant director of men’s basketball administration at Arkansas since July 2021. Prior to being a part of the basketball staff at Arkansas, he spent more than five years in football operations at Arkansas (graduate assistant – 2016-18), with the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins (staff assistant – 2019) and at Southern California (associate director – 2020).
Blake is a three-time graduate of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in sports management (2015) and master’s degrees in sports management (2017) and physical education teaching and coaching (2019). As an undergraduate at Arkansas, he worked in production for three years at KNWA-TV and Fox 24 News in Fayetteville, Ark. (2011-14) and spent one season with the Razorbacks’ football video operations department (2014).
