Whitney Waldron joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association staff in November 2013 as assistant to the associate vice president for development (AVP) within the Alexander-Tharpe Fund.

In her current role, she provides primary support for the AVP for all event, project, donor, fundraising, or general office related tasks as well as helping manage and monitor all aspects of the budget for the A-T Fund. She also oversees the process for procurement and payment of all A-T related business expenses, coordinates special development projects, and plays a vital role in creating content for the GT Letterwinners Quarterly Newsletter and BUZZ Magazine.

Prior to joining the A-T Fund, she spent six years as asset manager for the U.S. General Services Administration, where she analyzed and provided management of the revenue, expenses, and re-investments for a portfolio of federally-owned and leased real estate assets.

Waldron was a varsity cheerleader for four years as an undergraduate at Georgia Tech. She was a HOPE Scholarship Recipient and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.

The Atlanta native graduated from Georgia Tech in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. She has two children: Jax and Jadyn.
