Scott Sarratt joined the Georgia Tech athletics staff in June 2023 as assistant director of athletic grounds.
Sarratt came to Tech after seven years as director of grounds and facilities at his alma mater, Georgia State. In that role, he oversaw all facilities within GSU’s baseball and softball complexes and maintained the playing surfaces at all of the Panthers’ athletics facilities, including Center Parc Stadium (formerly Turner Field), the home of Georgia State football.
Sarratt’s professional experience also includes two seasons as a member of the Gwinnett Braves’ (triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves) field crew and one year as manager of athletic facilities at Georgia Gwinnett College.
Sarratt graduated from Georgia State in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He was a standout baseball student-athlete and the first Academic All-American in program history at GSU. In addition to his performance in the classroom, he was a two-year starter at catcher for the Panthers, hitting .309 and throwing out 37% of would-be base-stealers over 70 games. He played two seasons at Georgia Perimeter College before transferring to GSU for his final two collegiate seasons.
Sarratt and his wife, Erin, have a daughter, Allie.
