Phillip Washington joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association staff in June 2022 as an academic advisor. He was promoted to assistant director in May 2023 and most recently to director of academic services in June 2024. In his new role, he will oversee support of women’s basketball, women’s tennis, softball and track and field.
Prior to arriving at Georgia Tech, Washington served as an assistant academic coordinator for the football team at FAU.
In 2012, Washington graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in health science with a concentration in physical therapy. As an undergraduate, he was a letterwinner on the track and field team. Washington earned his master’s degree in sport management and administration at Florida A&M University in 2013.
