Phillip Washington was a member of the Georgia Tech Athletic Association staff from June 2022 – July 2025.
He arrived as an academic advisor in 2022 before being promoted to assistant director in May 2023 and director of academic services in June 2024. In his new role, he oversaw support of women’s basketball, women’s tennis, softball and track and field.
Prior to arriving at Georgia Tech, Washington served as an assistant academic coordinator for the football team at FAU.
In 2012, Washington graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in health science with a concentration in physical therapy. As an undergraduate, he was a letterwinner on the track and field team. Washington earned his master’s degree in sport management and administration at Florida A&M University in 2013.
