Olivia McGann joined Georgia Tech’s athletic department in May 2023 as a sports nutritionist. She will work primarily with men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s track and field, and volleyball.
As the sports nutritionist, she conducts nutrition counseling and develops meal plans for optimal health and performance for Georgia Tech student-athletes. Additionally, she supplies and maintains the supply of extra supplements and snacks that the student-athletes rely on daily.
McGann came to Tech after serving as a nutrition fellow at Wake Forest during the 2022-2023 school year where she worked primarily with football, men’s soccer, and women’s soccer. Prior to Wake Forest, she was a nutrition fellow at the University of Tulsa, focusing on the nutritional wealth of the football, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, women’s golf, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and women’s rowing teams.
McGann graduated from the University of Dayton in 2019 with a bachelor of science in dietetics. While a Flyer, she was a member of the women’s rowing team. She completed her master’s degree and dietetic internship at Benedictine University in 2020.
A Western Springs, IL native, McGann is a registered dietitian and a member of the Collegiate Sports Dietitian Association (CPSDA).
