Matt Sims joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association staff in March 2018 and is currently the Director of Athletic Facility Technology. He is responsible for the ACC Network video operations center, venue technologies, external event AV, golf, and track & field.

In addition to the completion of the ACC Network video operations center, Sims was a part of the team that oversaw the installation of fiber optic connectivity to all athletic venues.

Sims, an Emmy winning producer, also produces and directs broadcasts for Georgia Tech, ESPN, Fox, CBS, NCAA, ACC and among others. He also was an engineer for Super Bowl LIII, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta United.

Prior to Georgia Tech, he was director of video at Kennesaw State University, overseeing video and audio operations of all 18 athletic sports. During his time at KSU he oversaw the implementation of the ESPN3 platform, construction of a centralized control room, and fiber connectivity to all athletic venues.
Sims studied television production at Chattahoochee Technical College in Marietta, Georgia.

He and his wife, Brittany, have a daughter named Madelyn and are expecting their second child in November.
