Katie Meyers is in her first year as a social media specialist with Georgia Tech football’s program.
A skilled photographer and videographer with a wealth of experience delivering student-athlete focused content across all platforms, Meyers came to The Flats after having previously spent seven years in creative roles at UCLA, Notre Dame, Pitt and Tulane.
She came to Tech from Tulane, where she spent the 2021 season as the Green Wave’s director of football creative. Prior to her one season in New Orleans, she spent a short stint as a social media strategist at Pitt, which was preceded by three years (2017-20) as director of social media/student-athlete advancement at Notre Dame. At Notre Dame, she was nominated for two local Emmy awards for student-athlete features that she helped produce.
Meyers began her creative career at her alma mater, UCLA, where she spent two years as a social media assistant and photo services manager, developing social media content and strategies for all 26 of the Bruins’ varsity sports.
As an undergrad, she served as a primary photographer for the UCLA Daily Bruin. She graduated from UCLA in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in arts and a minor in film/television. She earned a master’s degree in sports administration from Ohio in 2022.
