Ashley Patino joined the Georgia Tech Athletic Association staff in July 2020 as the athletic trainer for men’s and women’s cross country and track and field.
Patino comes to Tech after a two-year stint with the San Francisco 49ers Football Club, where she assisted with on-field and training room coverage for home and away trips, among other duties, in an intern role. She got her start with the 49ers as a summer intern in 2017 before transitioning to a seasonal athletic training intern from 2018-20.
She began her work in athletics with the 49ers after serving as the YMCA aquatics director in Jackson, Miss. for one year. While with the YMCA, Patino was responsible for overseeing department payroll, scheduling, in-service training, skills check and lifeguard assessment. She also instructed all CPR/First Aid/AED and Lifeguarding for American Red Cross.
Patino earned a bachelor’s in sports medicine from Belhaven University in May 2015 and completed her master’s in athletic training in May 2018 from California Baptist University.
