Maya Prestes joined the Georgia Tech volleyball staff in June 2016 as the Director of Operations. She graduated from Jacksonville University in the spring of 2016 with a degree in business administration.
As a libero for the Dolphins, Prestes helped the team to win the 2013 and 2014 Atlantic Sun Championships. She was named the 2015 A-Sun Defensive Player of the Year, named First Team All-Atlantic Sun and selected to the Atlantic Sun all-tournament team in 2015.
While in school, Prestes served as an assistant coach with Instinct Volleyball Club in 2013-2014 in Jacksonville, Fla. She spent a year (2010-2011) as the event manager assistant for Personalle in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
