A strong right-handed hitter that is versatile in the field… Played well in the fall of his sophomore season and should compete for starting time in 2013… Played for one of the top high school baseball programs in the country at Columbus, before enrolling at IMG Baseball Academy in Florida.
2012
Saw action in 12 games… Played a reserve role, as Tech had a veteran presence in the outfield and at first base… Made his collegiate debut versus Winthrop (2/18) and was the only freshman position player to see action on the opening weekend… Recorded his first career hit in a pinch-hit role at NC State (3/11)… Came in to pinch hit and play right field in the first game of the doubleheader at No. 6 North Carolina (4/21) and finished 2-for-2 with his first career RBI.
High School
Two-year letterwinner as a first baseman and pitcher at Columbus High school where he helped the team to the 2010 AAA state championship … Transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. for his senior year … Won the IMG batting title in 2011 after hitting .417 with three home runs and 27 RBI … Named to the Florida Diamond Club … Member of the National Honors Society … Played summer ball for the Florida Bombers.
