Seven current Georgia Tech football players graduated this semester and participated in the Institute’s fall commencement ceremonies Saturday at Alexander Memorial Coliseum.

Offensive lineman Salih Besirevic, wide receivers Damarius Bilbo and Robbie Rollins, cornerbacks Dennis Davis and Reuben Houston, defensive end Eric Henderson and safety Dawan Landry walked across the stage Saturday.

Two other current Yellow Jackets, linebacker Gerris Wilkinson and long-snapper Gavin Tarquinio, graduated last spring, meaning that a total of nine Tech graduates will suit up for the Jackets in the Emerald Bowl.

Tech, ranked 24th, takes on Utah in the Dec. 29 bowl game in San Francisco, Calif. The Jackets will resume practice on Monday and depart for San Francisco on Saturday, Dec. 24.

The Rambling Wreck baseball team will feature two Tech graduates when it takes the field this spring as outfielder Jeff Kindel earns his degree Saturday, joining infielder Mike Trapani, who graduated last spring.

Women’s basketball player Lauren Sauer, who also lettered four years in volleyball before joining the basketball team, received her degree.

Also graduating Saturday were former Tech football standouts Ron Rogers and Hugh Reilly, who both earned degrees in Civil Engineering. Former Tech fullback Johnathan Jackson also participated in Commencement.

Other former student-athletes graduating this semester include basketball standout Isma’il Muhammad, baseball pitcher Kyle Bakker, volleyball player Marisa Aston, swimmer Jeremy Raines, tennis standout Dasha Potapova, and women’s basketball player Maya Monroe as well as former track athletes Brian Ford, Ashley McNeil, Dana Rogers, Jonathan Chihoski, Donald Beamer and Dore Madere.
