As A Junior in 2012-13: Set career-bests in both the 50 free and the 100 back, both coming at the ACC Championships… Also swam the lead-off led on the Yellow Jackets[apos] 200 medley relay with Matt Vaughan, Nico van Duijn and Andrew Kosic that finished sixth at the ACCs and set the program[apos]s second-fastest time in history (1:27.11)… He swam to a 19th-place finish in the 100 back at the ACC Championship, setting a personal-best and moving to ninth on Tech[apos]s all-time list with his time of 49.54.
As A Sophomore in 2011-12: Bettered all of his previous career bests from 2010-11, with four coming at the Georgia Tech Invitational… Posted a seventh-place finish in the 100 back, after recording a career-best 49.85 in the preliminaries… Was 27th in the 50 free at the GT Invitational (21.59)… Claimed a 12th-place finish in the 100 fly at the GT Invitational, putting down a career-best time of 49.91… Finished seventh in the 200 back at the GT meet, with a career-best time of 1:49.88 coming in the preliminaries… Swam the lead-off leg of the fifth-place 200 medley relay at the ACC Championship that was clocked in 1:27.76 – a season-best by the Jackets and the third fastest in school history… Placed second at the Georgia Tech Invitational in the 400 medley relay with the team[apos]s fastest time of the season and tied for the eighth-fastest in program history (3:18.90).
As a Freshman in 2010-11: Set many career bests at the 2010 Georgia Tech Fall Invitational … Notched a P.R. in the 50-Free of 22.15 seconds, a career best in the 100-Back of 51.98 seconds en route to a 22nd place finish, a time of 1:53.36 in the 200-Back and a career best time of 51.58 in the 100-Fly.
High School: Three-year letterwinner at McGill-Toolen Catholic High School in Mobile, Ala. … Helped his team to the county championships from 2008-10 … Won the state championships in the 100-Back during his sophomore season in 2008 … Also earned All-American honors … A member of the National Honor Society, a student ambassador, and a Ronald McDonald House volunteer.
