2015-16
Spring: In singles matches, Prokhnevska had a record of 8-8, including a 3-5 record in conference play … Was 3-9 in doubles matches with partners Alexis Prokopuik, Alexa Anton-Ohlmeyer and Megan Kurey … Was in the singles and doubles rotations for all five postseason matches … earned a win against Notre Dame’s Jane Fennelly in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament by a score of 6-1, 6-3.
Fall: In the fall tournament season, tallied a 2-2 singles record and went 0-1in doubles …At the USTA/ITA Southeast Regionals, advanced to the consolation round of 16 … Also fell in her in the main draw round of 32 in doubles alongside Alexis Prokopuik at regionals.
2014-15
Spring: Completed the 2014-15 season with an 11-13 overall singles record and a 12-5 record in doubles … Went 6-9 in dual matches in singles play, playing mostly on courts three and four … Was ranked as the #81 singles player in the country in the first week of the ITA’s 2015 rankings … Clinched two matches for the Jackets, against #59 Florida State and NC State … In doubles, went 6-4 in dual matches and played mostly alongside Johnnise Renaud on court three …. The duo went 6-2 this past season.
Fall: Recorded a 5-2 singles record and a 3-1 doubles mark during the fall tournament season … Was ranked as the #118 singles player in the preseason polls … Opened up the season with two straight wins at the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Invitational … Advanced to the main singles qualifying round of the ITA/USTA Southeast Regional after winning three-straight matches, including a 6-4, 1-6, 6-3, victory against the number two seed, Silva Garcia from Georgia … Paired up with Johnnie Renaud to go 3-1 in doubles, including three-straight wins in the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Invitational on court two.
2013-14
Spring: Finished the season with an overall record of 19-16 in singles and 17-13 in doubles … Went 6-8 in singles in ACC matches … Played on courts one through four throughout the season … Went 2-3 on court one in five appearances … Was named the ACC Player of the Week on February 18 for clinching the win against #27 Tennessee … Against Tennessee, defeated Joanna Henderson, 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) and Olivarez/Repic, 8-3, in doubles … Clinched four matches for the Jackets … Defeated two nationally ranked opponents … Topped #57 Mai El Kamash of Mississippi, 6-3, 6-1, at the Michigan Invitational … Clinched the win against Notre Dame with a 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 win against #99 Quinn Gleason … Her win on court three against Syracuse’s Rhiann Newborn, 6-1, 6-4, secured Tech’s win … Clinched Tech’s first round win in the NCAA Tournament by defeating Purdue’s Krisztina Kapitany, 7-5, 7-5 … Paired up with doubles partner Muriel Wacker on court two and went 11-10 … The duo went 3-2 against nationally ranked opponents … Wacker and Prokhnevska defeated Notre Dame’s #41 Jennifer Kellner and Monica Robinson, 8-5 .. Debut in the ITA Doubles Rankings at 49 on February 25th … Captured an 8-3 win against #62 Nida Hamilton and Maddie Lipp of Northwestern … Topped Clemson’s #78 Romy Koelzer and Tristen Dewar, 8-2.
Fall: Went 7-4 in singles during the fall and recorded a mark of 3-3 in doubles … Recorded two victories at the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional, defeating UAB’s Rachel Daniell, 6-4, ,4-6, 6-3 and Lissie Barnett of Northwestern, 7-5, 7-5 … Paired up with Muriel Wacker to go 3-2 in doubles.
2012-13: Finished the season with an 18-14 singles record overall and an 11-8 mark in dual matches … Completed the season with a 9-17 doubles record overall and 7-13 mark in dual matches … Went 5-6 on court three with Muriel Wacker in doubles … Clinched three matches for the Yellow Jackets … Defeated Annie Sullivan of #35 Yale on court three, 3-6, 6-0, 6-3 to secure GT’s victory in the first round of the NCAA Tournament … Recorded a 6-2, 6-1 win against Miami (Ohio)’s Nimisha Mohan to clinch the GT win … Defeated Kasey Gardiner of Wake Forest, 0-6, 6-3, 6-1 to also help GT to a win.
High School/Juniors: Ranked as the No. 23 player in the nation, the No. 3 player in the Mid-Atlantic and the No. 1 player in the State of Delaware by TennisRecruiting.Net… Posted a 25-10 overall record in 2011-12… In 2010-11, went 54-16 including a 22-4 mark against five-star ranked players… Advanced to the round of 16 at the USTA Winter National Championships in Dec. 2010… Was a three-year letterwinner at the Sanford School and was captain one year… Won Delaware No. 1 singles title in 2012 and No. 2 singles titles in 2011 and 2010…Won G16 Middle States L3 Sectionals in 2010 and G18 Middle States L3 Sectionals in 2011… Won G16 L2 USTA National Open in 2010.
Personal: Born Aug. 23, 1994 in Kiev, Ukraine… Parents are Alexei Prokhnevsky and Olga Shevchenko… Is right handed… Was a member of the Cum Laude Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society in high school… Started playing tennis at age six when her parents signed her up for lessons while they lived in Corvallis, Ore… Was one of many different sports she played growing up… Lists her father as her biggest influence… Is a biochemistry major.
