As A Junior In 2013-14: Established a new career-best time in the 50 free of 25.53 versus Darton… Provided depth for the Yellow Jackets in the butterfly and freestyle events… Recorded a season-best time of 2:11.87 in the 200 fly at the Georgia Tech Invitational… Her season-best in the 100 fly of 59.74 came versus Darton.

As A Sophomore In 2012-13: Established a new career-best time in the 200 fly in the regular-season finale versus Emory by putting down a time of 2:09.83 and shaving two seconds off her previous career best… Was clocked in a season-best 26.24 in the 50 free at the Georgia Tech Invitational… Also used the GT Invitational for a season-best time in the 100 free (1:00.53).

As A Freshman In 2011-12: Recorded four career-best times at the Virginia Tech Invitational — swimming the 50 free in 26.22, the 100 fly in 59.21 (finished 10th), the 200 fly in 2:11.83 (finished seventh) and the 200 IM in 2:16.64 (finished ninth)… Set her season-best 200 free time of 2:04.12 at the Georgia Tech Invitational… Her season-best 1,000 free time of 11:50.58 came versus North Carolina, which was good for sixth place.

High School: A seven year member of USA swimming with one year as captain under Pat Murphy and a four year member of GA High School Swimming also captaining her team for one season under Cameron Ward … Was the Wheeler High School MVP two times, earned the Coaches award two times and was named to the All-County Second Team two times … Was a USA Swimming Georgia All Star from 2007-2011 … A finalist in the 50 fly, 100 fly and 200 fly at the Georgia Senior State Long Course Championships … Graduated as school[apos]s record-holder in the 500 free and 200 IM… Principal[apos]s Honor Roll all four years… Was a cellist for the WHS Chamber Orchestra and Ludwig Symphony and Beethoven Chamber Orchestras.

Personal: Born Kelsey Caroline Mary Maloney on August 30, 1993 in Atlanta, Ga. … Parents are Jim and Kate Maloney… Sister to Emily, Grace and Sam… Kelsey is a Georgia Tech President[apos]s Scholar, as was her Jim — they are the first set of father-daughter President[apos]s Scholars at the Institute… Her grandfather Jeff played basketball and baseball at Queens College where he still holds scoring records and played Triple-A baseball for the Minnesota Twins organization… her uncle, Kevin, played baseball for Stetson and aunt, Pam, played basketball and lacrosse at Lehigh.
