ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Georgia Tech women’s tennis senior Johnnise Renaud was victorious on day two of the Michigan Invitational on Sunday, picking up both singles and doubles wins for the Yellow Jackets. Tech, which faced No. 10 Michigan in singles play and No. 24 Arizona State in doubles today, will conclude the three-day tournament on Monday.
Renaud, ranked No. 79 nationally, fought off No. 74 Chiara Lommer in singles play, pocketing a 7-5, 6-4 victory for the Jackets. Paired with freshman Ida Jarlskog in doubles play, the Tech tandem collected a hard-fought 7-5 victory over Savannah Slaysman/Tereza Kolarova as the Jackets’ only doubles win on the day.
Tech will conclude the tournament on Monday facing No. 24 Arizona State/No. 13 Ohio State in singles play in the morning followed by doubles play against No. 8 Texas Tech.
