Sept. 19, 2005

What is something that most people don’t know about you?

“They might not know that I’m a devout Christian and that I love the Lord with all my heart.”

What would be your ultimate Sports Center highlight?

“It would have to be a hit similar to the one that Gary Guyton had during last year’s Virginia Tech game. Being able to blindside someone and lay them out would be a great feeling.”

Tell about one visible scar…

“I have one on my leg in the shape of an O that I got when I was wrestling with my brother when I was young. That’s probably the only true scar that I have.”

If you could relive any single family outing in your life, what would it be?

“My dad, my brother and I used to go hiking in the mountains and also did some fishing when we were little and I always enjoyed that.”

If you could have season tickets for any team, sitting in any place in the stadium, which team would it be and where would you sit?

“I would want to go to a Los Angeles Lakers game and sit courtside right next to Jack Nicholson.”

What is the nicest compliment that you have ever received?

“People have asked me if I ever have a bad day because every time they see me, I’m always in a good mood.”

Who has had the greatest influence on your athletic career?

“My bible.”

What is your best non-athletic talent?

“I can play guitar and sing.”

What is the most valuable thing you’ve learned from being a college athlete?

“Things are going to get hard at times and it’s not always going to be easy but you just have to push through. You have to learn to work hard and eventually, good things will happen to you.”

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

“I love seeing my family before a game, especially during home games when we are coming through Yellow Jacket Alley on our way to the game.”

What is the best thing about being a college athlete at Tech?

“The best thing is playing football in a major conference and being part of prime time games with tens of thousands of fans screaming.”

What has been the most memorable game that you have been a part of?

“The Clemson game from 2004.”

What won’t you miss about being a college athlete?

“I will not miss school and having to study all the time.”

What is your all-time favorite meal?

“It would have to be a steak, any type of potato, and ice cream.”

What team would you add to the schedule?

“I would like to have another shot at Florida State.”

Besides Bobby Dodd Stadium, what is your favorite stadium to play in?

“I’ve really enjoyed playing at Clemson because it’s one of the biggest stadiums we play in and it’s so loud.”

Favorite musical artist:

“The Christian singer Jeremy Camp.”

Who is the person you would most like to meet (dead or alive)?

“Jesus Christ.”

Who is the athlete you most admire?

“I admire John Lynch because he plays safety like I do.”

If you could play any other sport at Tech, what would it be?

“I would play basketball and shoot the lights out of the ball.”

Name a professor that has had an impact on you here at Tech:
