ATLANTA – No. 23/22 Georgia Tech (34-7) hosts No. 4/5 Georgia (35-6) Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Its a GOLD OUT and all fans are encouraged to wear gold for the game. Admission is free. There will be free gold t-shirts for students with their Buzz Card and all fans will receive a free gold shaker while supplies last.
#23/22 Georgia Tech hosts #4/5 Georgia, North Carolina This Week
• The No. 23/22 Georgia Tech softball team (34-7, 8-1 ACC) returns home for its first homestand in nearly three weeks as it welcomes No. 4/5 Georgia (35-6) and North Carolina (26-15, 9-3) to Mewborn Field.
• The Yellow Jackets and Bulldogs will play a single game at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night. Tech and UNC then square off in a big three-game series this weekend. The Tar Heels enter play in second-place behind the Yellow Jackets in the ACC standings. They will play a doubleheader on Saturday and then a single game Sunday, both at 1 p.m.
• At all four games, volunteers will be collecting donations as the Georgia Tech softball team will be raising money for the earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. All of the proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross. There will be tables set up at each entrance to Mewborn Field and volunteers will also be passing through the stands.
