• No. 22 Georgia Tech baseball looks to get back on track when it returns home for a brief midweek appearance against Charleston Southern on March 29.
• Georgia Tech currently owns a 12-1 record against the Bucs, but haven’t faced off on the diamond since 2001.
• The 22nd-ranked Jackets have proved to be every bit of the offensive powerhouse they were touted to be in the preseason. Through 25 games, Tech leads the country with 293 hits on the year.
• Tech also ranks ninth in runs (226), seventh in home runs (43), 18th in walks (133), 13th in average (.318), and 12th in scoring (9.0).
• They also rank 16th in on-base percentage (.418) and 19th in slugging percentage (.522).
• Kevin Parada has been a force at the plate, currently ranking top 30 in the country in hits (39), runs (30), RBI (31) and total bases.
• Also red-hot at the plate are Andrew Jenkins (.388), Tim Borden II (.338), Tres Gonzalez (.330), Drew Compton (.281) and Stephen Reid (.283).
• Since ACC play began on March 11, Jenkins has been unstoppable, hitting .473 for 26 hits, four doubles, six home runs and 17 RBI.
• Reid has also been on fire since March 11, hitting .367 for 18 hits, a double and three RBI.
• Making his first collegiate start on the mound for Tech will be true freshman RHP Logan McGuire.
• McGuire has made six appearances in relief this year for the Jackets, holding a 2.38 ERA, 1-1 record and a 12:0 strikeout-to-walk ratio in just over 11 innings of work.
