TOP STORYLINES

• No. 21 Georgia Tech baseball continues its ACC road swing when it heads to take on No. 2 Virginia on April 1-3.

• Georgia Tech currently owns a 77-60-2 record against the Cavaliers, but have dropped the last two.

• The 21st-ranked Jackets have proved to be every bit of the offensive powerhouse they were touted to be. Through 26 games, Tech leads the country with 306 hits on the year. Only three teams have more than 300 (Texas, Rutgers).

• Tech also ranks eighth in runs (243), sixth in home runs (46), 16th in walks (141), 10th in average (.338), and 12th in scoring (9.3).

• They also rank 11th in on-base percentage (.423) and 16th in slugging percentage (.532).

• Kevin Parada has been a force at the plate, currently ranking 13th in hits (42) and home runs (10), eighth in RBI (37) and 10th in total bases (78).

• Also red-hot at the plate are Andrew Jenkins (.381), Tim Borden II (.342), Tres Gonzalez (.330), Drew Compton (.303) and Stephen Reid (.294).

• Since ACC play began on March 11, Jenkins has been unstoppable, hitting .456 for 26 hits, four doubles, six home runs and 17 RBI.

• Reid has also been on fire since March 11, hitting .385 for 20 hits, a double and three home runs for 16 RBI.

• Tech will once again use its starting rotation of Chance Huff, Cody Carwile and Marquis Grissom, Jr.

• Huff will look to return to form this week, having only allowed four total runs through his first three starts.

• In his first collegiate start last week, Carwile allowed just two earned runs in a nailbiting one-run lose.

• In his past three starts, Grissom has recorded an ERA of 0.77 with just one run allowed across six hits and seven strikeouts. He holds an opponents average of .154.
