No. 17 Jackets Host No. 43 Duke, No. 40 Louisville

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech men’s tennis returns from its ACC road trip to host No.43 Duke on Friday, April 7 and No. 40 Louisville on Sunday, April 8 at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex. Friday’s match with the Blue Devils is at 5 p.m. and Sunday’s bout with the Cardinals is slated for 2 p.m.

Setting the Scene: The Yellow Jackets (13-3, 5-1 ACC) swept their ACC road series with wins at Boston College and Notre Dame. Tech is off to its best start since 2011. Friday’s match will have free pizza for fans while supplies last. On Sunday, the first 100 fans will be treated to free King of Pops. Parking for fans is available in the McCamish lot.

The Blue Devils come into Friday’s match with an 11-7 record and are 4-3 in conference play. The No. 40 Cardinals are 17-4 on the season with a 4-2 mark in conference play. Louisville plays NC State on Friday afternoon before heading to The Flats for Sunday’s match.

Singles Update: Junior Christopher Eubanks jumped four spots in the rankings to No. 5. Cole Fiegel and Carlos Benito continue their strong senior campaigns. Fiegel holds a 12-2 ledger in singles play at the four and six spots. Benito boasts an 11-3 record at the three spot.

Doubles Update: The Jackets dropped the doubles point in both matches this past weekend. Fiegel and Andrew Li won their doubles match at the two spot, advancing to 7-1 on the season.
