THE FLATS – No. 13 Georgia Tech women’s tennis returns to the courts for a midweek matchup against No. 19 Texas Tech on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets and Lady Raiders are set for first serve at 3 p.m. at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex.
THE SCENE: Wednesday will mark the second meeting between the programs as the foes met last season for the first time in Lubbock. Tech, then ranked No. 6, pulled out a 4-3 victory over then-No. 9 Texas Tech.
Georgia Tech is coming off a tough weekend in the ITA Kick-Off and seeks its first dual win of the season tomorrow. The Jackets (0-2) opened last weekend with a 4-0 loss to Ohio State before falling to Auburn on Sunday, 4-3.
Texas Tech comes into the matchup with a 2-0 record after opening the season with a 4-3 triumph over SMU before sweeping Wyoming, 4-0,
