Charlotte, N.C. – First-year head coach Damon Stoudamire and returning starters Miles Kelly and Lance Terry are representing the Georgia Tech men’s basketball team Wednesday at the ACC Tipoff, the conference’s annual media day, in Charlotte, N.C. Fans can watch much of the activity live throughout the day on the ACC Network and ACC Network Extra.
Tech’s head coach and student-athletes will participate in a variety of interviews, press conferences, photo shoots and other activities with local, regional and national television and radio outlets. They will appear together for a press conference at noon that will be streamed live on ACC Network Extra (click link to view), and will appear separately live on the ACC Network (Kelly and Terry at 11 a.m., Stoudamire at 4 p.m.).
ACC Network will be live on site from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Looking to return Tech to national prominence, Stoudamire brings the experience of 13 years as a successful NBA player, 10 years of coaching experience on the collegiate level and four years on the NBA level. Kelly and Terry are two of four returning starters from the 2022-23 squad, while adding a five-player transfer class that has been ranked No. 17 in the nation by 247Sports and four talented freshmen.
Kelly, a 6-6 junior guard from Stone Mountain, Ga., led the Jackets in scoring (14.4 ppg), three-point shooting (37.9 pct.) and free throw shooting (89.8 pct.) last season. Terry, a 6-3 senior guard from College Park, Ga., was the only other Jacket to average in double figures (10.1 ppg) while making 38.8 percent of his three-point attempts and 81.4 percent of his free throws.
The Yellow Jackets open the 2022-23 season on Nov. 7 at home against Clayton State, and open their ACC schedule at North Carolina on Dec. 10.
