THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech track and field program concluded the indoor season at the NCAA Indoor Championships where Shanty Papakosta competed in the women’s high jump.
Papakosta was the lone Jacket to qualify for the indoor championships. She represented Tech well with a ninth-place finish in the high jump. Papakosta easily cleared the first two heights and fought hard to achieve a successful jump on the third height. She finished the competition with a mark of 1.82 meters (5-11.5).
Papakosta’s performance earned herself Second Team All-American honors. She is the first Jacket to be named an All-American in the women’s high jump since the 2005 season.
