Tech To Begin Home ACC Play

Jackets will host Virginia and Virginia Tech

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech men’s tennis will begin home ACC play on Friday against Virginia followed by Virginia Tech on Sunday.

Virginia is currently ranked No. 11 on the nation. It is the second time the Yellow Jackets will face Virginia this season. The previous matchup was at the ITA Kick Off Weekend. Virginia won 4-0 but the Jackets were ahead on 2 of the 3 unfinished courts, with one court tied after two sets.

Virginia Tech is currently 4-11 overall and 0-4 in the ACC. The Hokies will play Clemson on Friday before heading to Ken Byers Tennis Complex on Sunday.

The Jackets feature a ranked singles player in Andres Martin currently No. 24 and a ranked doubles pairing in Marcus McDaniel and Martin currently No. 13.

Admission to the matches are free and fans are encouraged to park in the family housing lot located across the street.
