ORLANDO, Fla. — Legendary Georgia Tech baseball player and two-time MLB World Series Champion Jason Varitek accepted the NCAA Silver Anniversary Award at the NCAA Convention in Orlando, Fla. on Wednesday evening.
One of the NCAA’s most prestigious awards, the Silver Anniversary Award recognizes distinguished individuals for their collegiate and professional achievements on the 25th anniversary of the conclusion of their college athletics careers.
Georgia Tech head baseball coach Danny Hall joined Varitek during the ceremony and presented him the award.
