THE FLATS – A trio of #ProJackets highlighted week three of the 2016 NFL preseason with a number of firsts.

Rookie defensive tackle Adam Gotsis made his first career start for the Denver Broncos on Aug. 27 versus the Los Angeles Rams. In the 17-9 win, Gotsis recorded two tackles, one solo and one assisted, in his first career start.

Fellow Tech standouts Quayshawn Nealy and Brandon Watts saw their first action of the 2016 NFL preseason last week. Nealy recorded a solo tackle for Seattle in the Seahawks 27-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Aug. 25, while Watts did not record a stat for Minnesota in the Vikings 23-10 win over the San Diego Chargers.

Not to be oudone, veteran NFL player Philip Wheeler tallied eight total tackles, four solo and four assisted, in the Falcons 17-6 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Aug. 25.
