INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – No. 8 seed Georgia Tech volleyball will advance to the Louisville Regional of the NCAA Tournament, facing off against No. 9 seed Ohio State (27-5, 15-5 B1G) on Thursday at 3 p.m. in Louisville, Ky., the NCAA announced on Sunday. The Sweet 16 match will be broadcast on ESPN+.
The victor of the contest will go on to face the winner of host and No. 1 seed Louisville against No. 16 seed Florida on Saturday at 6 p.m. Broadcast coverage will be provided on ESPNU for the Elite Eight matchup.
Tech advances to the Regional round after sweeping both its first and second round NCAA tournament opponents in The Citadel and WKU in O’Keefe Gymnasium. As the Jackets are up to 15 sweeps on the season, they advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2004 and the third time in program history. Georgia Tech is now 12-10 all time in NCAA tournament matches.
Georgia Tech continues its tournament run having won 57 of its last 68 matches dating back to 2019. The Jackets also won their final home contest of the season to claim 35 of their last 40 matches on The Flats.
